The Conservative Group for Europe wishes to recruit a Campaign Executive to:

·         Develop a stronger media presence for CGE including responding to the news agenda, building relationships with journalists and supporting CGE spokespeople for media interviews;

·         Promote the CGE website as a resource for CGE members and the media by producing and sourcing written and video material and enhancing CGE’s presence on social media;

·         Mobilise members to campaign within the Conservative Party and more generally through co-ordination and the dissemination of briefing materials;

·         Support CGE and Young CGE members in organising events, especially outside of London 

As a members’ association, CGE is organised on a day to day basis through an Executive Committee, supported by a part-time Administrator and a Parliamentary Researcher.

The Campaign Executive will need to work and liaise with these individuals and with the Officers and Executive Committee Members; support the CGE at occasional events with partner organisations, both in and outside of London; and service the Group’s Executive and General Purposes Committees.

The role requires good writing, communication and organisational skills; basic IT and digital skills; experience with media, including social media, and with campaigning within the Conservative Party.

The appointee may need to work primarily from home.
