The Conservative Group for Europe is hosting a webinar with Antonio López-Istúriz White MEP and Stephen Hammond MP to discuss the role of the British and European centre-right post Brexit.
Antonio López-Istúriz White is the current Secretary-General of the European People’s Party (EPP), a position he has held since 2002. He is also a Member of the European Parliament, representing the Spanish centre-right People’s Party (Partido Popular) and was first elected 2004. In 2008, Antonio López-Istúriz White was elected Treasurer of the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies (WMCES). He also serves as Secretary-General of the Centrist Democrat International(IDC-CDI).
In the European Parliament, Antonio López-Istúriz White is the Chair of the Delegation for Relations with Israel, a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and a member of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean. He is a substitute on the Subcommittee on Security and Defence and substitute for the Delegation for Relations with the United States. He also serves as President of the European Union-United Arab Emirates (UAE) Parliamentary Friendship Group.
